All Night Graduation
Your poinsettia order can be picked up between December 3rd - 4th at Goochland High School Greenhouse.
The All-Night Graduation Committee (ANG) is hosting a Spirit Night at Bella Sicilia Italian Restaurant on Friday, December 2nd from 5:00 until close. Be sure to take the family before or after Goochland Park and Recreation's Tree Lighting at 6:30 PM. When ordering, please let them know you are there on behalf of ANG/Goochland High School. This applies to both dine-in or carry-out orders.
Additionally, ANG will have their next meeting on Tuesday, December 6th at Bella Sicilia's starting at 6:30 PM. This is a great way to be involved in the planning of future events.

Best Buddies Long Sleeve T-Shirt Sale
Help support inclusive events at GHS by purchasing a long sleeve shirt for just $22! These will arrive just in time for Unified Basketball season! Bulldog Corner Store
Do you need holiday gift ideas for family and friends? If so, look no further! If you are a student, stop by the GHS School Store every Friday to purchase your Bulldog Apparel! Parents and students can also order online through the Goochland High School website. We will only be open for four more Fridays before winter break, so don’t delay! We have limited sizes available! Cap and Gowns
Jostens will return to GHS on Tuesday, December 6th during all lunches to give seniors one final time to order with them during school hours. After this date group pricing will no longer be available on cap and gown units.

Dress Code
With the weather getting colder, we want to remind students that wearing hoods on your head is not permitted while in the building. I appreciate your attention to this district-wide GCPS policy.
Financial Aid Night
The Goochland High School GRASP Advisory, Lauren White and the Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid at William & Mary College will be sharing information with our families about college financial aid. This will be a virtual presentation on Tuesday, November 29th at 6:30 PM using the link meet.google.com/tya-rngz-bnf. Please submit confidential questions before the presentation or during the presentation. Contact Lauren White at lwhite@grasp4va.org or your child’s school counselor if you have any questions.
Holiday Performances
Come out and enjoy a night of holiday festivities and get into the holiday spirit! GHS Performing Arts Department will host its annual holiday Band Concert on Thursday, December 8th at 7:00 PM. Our Dance Recital will be on Wednesday, December 14th at 6:30 PM. The chorus will have its winter holiday concert on Thursday, December 15th at 7:00 PM.
Student Illnesses
As we have done in the past, please help us create a safe and healthy school environment. If your student is sick, please keep them home from school. If a student has a fever, they must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before they can return. If they have diarrhea or have vomited, they can return 24 hours after the last occurrence. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Nurse Duffey (kduffey@glnd.k12.va.us.)
In order to excuse absences for these illnesses, please send a written note with your child to submit to Ms. Timberlake in the main office on the day they return to school. Students with 10 or more absences will need to submit a doctor's note to excuse future absences.

Summer Residential Governor's Language Academies
Applications for the 2023 Summer Residential Governor's Schools & Academies are now available for programs in World Languages, Engineering, Marine Science, Agriculture, Humanities, Math, Science & Technology. Bryant & Stratton - Monday, December 12th
Wreaths Across America
The GHS Veterans Project will be going to the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia on Saturday, December 17th to lay wreaths on veterans' graves. This is a national event that is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad. The bus will be leaving GHS at 10:30 am and returning at approximately 2:00 pm. Please reach out to Ms. Tate with any questions (rtate@glnd.k12.va.us).
Yearbooks
To pre-order your 2023 yearbook, please go to balfour.com. Currently, the price is $60. The price goes up to $70 on January 1, 2023. To avoid over-ordering, we will ONLY order enough yearbooks this year for those who pay by February 1, 2023. Seniors can also purchase Senior ads at this site.
