Did you know that according to the student poll conducted earlier this winter, 77% of respondents wanted a winter dance? How wonderful is that? There is a long time between Homecoming and Prom, and they expressed wanting something casual that includes all grades and doesn't necessitate having dates. The SCA and other students came to the PTSA and asked for help planning and executing their self-titled WINTER HOEDOWN! It has been a lot of fun and they are very excited.
When: Friday, February 16th, 7-10PM
Where: GHS gym and cafeteria
There will be a DJ, straw bales, line dancing (wobble, cupid, cha cha, cotton-eyes, anyone? 🙂,) 360 photo booth, cornhole, spike ball, and delicious food, all included. And potentially another big surprise. Themed attire is encouraged!
The rules will be very similar to Homecoming in that bags will be checked at the door. No cups, bottles, etc. will be permitted. The food and refreshments are included in the ticket price of $13! There will be electronic permission slips that will be required which will be distributed to ticket buyers. Tickets will be sold through gofan, like all of our sporting events. While the PTSA is thrilled to help the students plan, execute, and fund their event. THE TRUTH IS THAT THE EVENT CANNOT HAPPEN WITHOUT YOUR HELP. In addition to napkins, waters, and desserts, they need adults present. PLEASE sign up here for whatever you can do, so we can all make this happen for them.
