Congratulations to GHS senior Kayla McCormick! Kayla’s art piece, “Other World”, earned her a SILVER KEY award from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. This is a mixed media piece made from paper and acrylic paint on canvas.
Congratulations to the Goochland High School Scholastic Bowl team for winning the Quad Rivers Conference 34 Scholastic Bowl championship. Way to go bulldogs!
GRASP’s goal is to ensure that every student has an equal opportunity for continuing education after high school, regardless of financial or social circumstances. They would like to spread that message to high school students to make them aware of the resources that GRASP offers.

To summarize, students accepted into the Honors Program participate in more advanced, complex academic work based on the following foundational pillars: Critical Thinking, Independent Research, Interdisciplinary Learning, and Engagement. There are also some excellent benefits attached to participation in the program such as scholarships, honors pathways and other priority treatment.
