This year, we will not have our traditional parade during halftime, as the track was just redone, and we’re trying to protect it. Our student leaders requested that we hold the Homecoming Parade before the game on Bulldog Way, which will be coordinated with the Sheriff’s office. At 6:10 pm on Friday, October 4th, Bulldog Way will be shut down temporarily to accommodate the parade route. You will NOT be able to get to GHS from 522, but you will be able to access the faculty parking lot from Route 6 during this time. Once the parade is over, the road will reopen; we anticipate it to last less than 30 minutes. Our students are excited about the parade, so if you plan on coming to the game, get there early to watch the floats go by!

We invite you to join GHS in a Twitter Storm around our newly created school values! Goochland High School teachers and students recently developed our school core values known as our #BulldogBARKS. We want to prepare our students to be BOLD and think outside of the box to solve complex problems, AUTHENTIC to themselves and in their relations to others so they can truly grow and aspire to reach for their dreams, RESPONSIBLE for their decisions and for the growth and care of their community, KIND to one another, and SUCCESSFUL in their endeavors both now and in the future. As a faculty, our goal is to support and educate their growth in these five areas. Together we choose to model, teach and inspire our students to exemplify these values. We are kicking off our new values THIS WEEK by celebrating those students that display these values throughout the week. We’ve created a schedule below to help us structure our storm with hashtags and create a lasting impact! Join us in telling our story and sharing the excellence of our students.
