Course Requests

All core course requests for the 2018-2019 school year must be submitted through the PowerSchool parent portal. The portal opened on Monday, February 5th, and will close Wednesday, February 14th. Instructions on how to select courses are attached. Please remember that student requests impact our decisions on whether we offer a course or not. Please work with your school counselor to ensure that your course requests reflect your interests!
Sadie Hawkins Dance: Saturday, February 17th!

The GHS PTSA will host a Sadie Hawkins Dance on Saturday, February 17th. Students, mark your calendars now and make plans to attend. All proceeds from the event will go toward our SOLabration and Senior class picnic at the end of the year. Last year we had a blast dancing the night away, so don’t miss out!
Career Day: Tuesday 2/13
Goochland High School will host Career Day on Tuesday, February 13th from 8:30 to 12:00. Mr. Watson, our Director of Career and Technical Education, has worked extremely hard to make the event a huge success. We now have over 75 organizations from around the Richmond/Metro area scheduled to attend the event. We have an interactive lesson plan, where students will use a Twitter hashtag for an opportunity to win prizes! Parents, please make sure that your son or daughter is in attendance for this great opportunity to network with local business owners.
