The Marching Band Awards Reception originally scheduled for Thursday, January 18th has been postponed to Monday, January 22nd at 7pm in room C143. The Band Boosters will provide finger food, desserts and hot beverages. Please make plans to come out and celebrate the accomplishments of our Bulldog band students

We will hold our Winter Sports Pep-Rally on Friday, January 26th to celebrate our winter sports athletes. We will move Bulldog Block to the end of the day, and the spirit stick will be up for grabs once again!
Our school division will be taking part in the biennial PRIDE Survey on January 17. The results of this survey will help Goochland County Public Schools design, adjust, and implement programs that promote student health and school safety, such as a reducKon in adolescent tobacco use and bullying behavior. Please see the attached letter from GCPS for further details.
We’ve recently learned that our MCJROTC program at GHS had its federal funding cut and is in danger of being forced to operate at reduced efficiency and without federal financial resources. Please review the document attached for more details. It was shared with the School Board at their regular meeting on December 12, 2017. It is a public document that is a part of their agenda packet. Please use this information to contact our lawmakers in Washington D.C. We will hold a Town Hall Meeting in order to answer any questions you may have regarding our program. The make-up date from the previously schedule meeting on January 9th is TBD.
We plan to distribute 1st semester report cards to students during 1st block classes on Wednesday, January 10th. Please ask your son or daughter to see it when they return home that evening or consult PowerSchool for the most updated grade reports.
