Attention Sophomore parents: March 7th, 8th, and 9th are big days for our 10th grade students. All English 10 students will take the Writing SOL over the course of those three days. This is an SOL that they must pass before they can graduate. The test is in two parts. Students will take the Multiple Choice portion on March 7th or March 8th, whichever day they normally meet with their English 10 class. All 10th graders will take the essay portion on March 9th. Please help your child by ensuring that they get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time. If you have any questions, please contact your child’s English teacher. Thank you for your support!

Our school counselors have started to have conversations about the course selection process by going into classes and passing out blue forms. Additionally, each elective teacher has created a video to highlight many of the great things they are doing in their classrooms. Mrs. Leiderman is working hard to compile them and will post the webpage to Schoology later this week. The blue course selection forms will be collected in class on February 24th, and printouts of selected courses sent home in Mid-March for parent approval. If you have any question about course offerings, please feel free to contact your son’s or daughter’s school counselor.
