This summer GHS students will have the opportunity to design and build using their engineering skills and interest. Students will engineer/manufacture a mini-hover craft using a CNC router, 3D printer, plastic thermo-former, laser cutter/engraver, and electronics components. In addition, students will take field trips to engineering and manufacturing facilities such as the Rolls Royce plant where aircraft engines are built, McGuire Veteran’s hospital to see first hand how 3D printing is helping disabled veterans, and the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing.
The GHS STEM camp will be held June 20-24, 2016 from 8:30-11:30, with extended days possible due to the field trips. Lunch will be provided on the extended days. The cost for the camp is $120 and is limited to 20 students.
